Description of PMB Bitumen PG 76-10
PMB Bitumen PG 76-10 is a Performance Grade asphalt binder designed for regions with high pavement temperatures (up to +76°C) and cold climate resistance down to -10°C. This grade is mostly used in hot climates, heavy traffic highways, airports, and industrial paving projects. It is commonly polymer modified to improve elasticity, rutting resistance, and durability.
Polymer Modified Bitumen PG 76-10 (Elastomeric) is a performance grade bituminous binder used in pavement construction in order to meet the requirements of hot temperature climate and the heavy traffic loads.
PMB PG Bitumen 76.10 (Elastomeric) Grade binder fully meets the requirements of AASHTO M 320 Standard specification for performance Graded Bitumen Binder for use in pavement construction.
Application of Polymer Modified Bitumen PG 76-10 Bitumen
Polymer Modified PG Bitumen 76-10 is used in high-stress and high-temperature areas, such as:
- Highways & expressways with heavy vehicles
- Airport runways & taxiways
- Urban roads with intense traffic load
- Industrial areas, container yards & freight terminals
- Hot climate regions in Asia, Middle East, Africa & South America
- Modified asphalt concrete, SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt), Superpave mix designs
Highways and Expressways: Widely used for high-traffic highways and expressways that face heavy and continuous traffic loads. The high-temperature performance helps resist rutting and deformation in such conditions.
Industrial Zones and Heavy-Duty Roads: Suitable for industrial areas and roads where heavy-duty vehicles frequently operate, as Bitumen PG 82-10 can handle the stress from heavy, slow-moving vehicles.
Airport Runways and Taxiways: Ideal for airport pavements where exposure to high temperatures and heavy aircraft loads require resistance to deformation and cracking.
Bridges and Elevated Structures: Used on bridges and overpasses to handle thermal stresses and prevent cracking, which are common due to temperature fluctuations and high traffic loads.
Urban Roads and High-Temperature Regions: Effective in urban environments and regions with extremely hot summers, where roads face both heavy traffic and prolonged high temperatures.

Advantage of Performance Grad PMB Bitumen PG 76-10
- Advanced Crack Resistance: Prevents low-temperature cracking in severe winter climates.
- High Rutting Resistance: Performs under extreme heat and traffic pressure.
- Exceptional Durability: Supports long-term pavement integrity under freeze-thaw stress.
- Quality Consistency: Engineered for reliable results across multiple climate conditions.
Key Features of PMB PG Bitumen 76-10
1. Superior High-Temperature Stability:
Performance Grade Bitumen PG 76-10 is engineered to withstand extreme heat, performing reliably at temperatures reaching 76°C. This high-temperature stability minimizes rutting and deformation, making it an ideal choice for heavy-traffic zones and hot-weather regions.
2. Reliable Low-Temperature Flexibility:
Even in severe cold—down to -10°C—this binder maintains its flexibility and resists cracking. Its performance in low temperatures ensures long-lasting durability in climates with harsh winters.
3. Enhanced Performance Through Polymer Modification:
Formulated with polymers such as SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) or similar elastomers, PMB 76-10 offers improved elasticity, cohesion, and structural strength. These enhancements significantly boost its resistance to thermal variations and heavy traffic loading.
